If you have lost an animal somewhere in the Jemez Valley area, on Highway 4 from San Ysidro to the Valles Caldera, or to Fenton Lake on highway 126, please call us at 888-828-5822 x2 and give us the following information:

- Other Contact Name & Numbers?
- Animal name:
- Description: (breed, color, weight, identifying items)
- Collar color:
- Is it chipped?
- Location last seen:
- Date Lost:
If you have a digital photo, email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. We send the information and picture to our members who live in the area and have them on the lookout for the animal
Prepare a poster to be posted around the location animal was last seen. Depending on where that was, it might be good to post in the local post office, store or forest service office. Information on poster:
- Description of animal (color, size, name, collar description)
- Location and date lost
- If a reward is being offered
- 2 phone numbers to contact you
Often times, lost animals are picked up by Jemez area visitors, and taken to Albuquerque, Santa Fe or Los Alamos animal shelters. You should contact all of these shelters, and determine the best way to notify them of the lost animal.
